Are you in the market for an increased archery fps? Check this 2022 lineup of the Fastest Hunting Bows.

Speed bows are all the rage these days, and everyone wants to know about the fastest hunting bows available on the market. The 2022 crop didn’t disappoint and assembled some of the speediest stick slingers ever seen, including bows reaching 360 and even 370 fps. If you’re hunting for a fast new hunting bow, here are 12 options to consider.

Xpedition Archery Smoke

You came here for the speed, and the new Smoke by Xpedition Archery delivers. It’s the fastest bow they’ve produced, perhaps the fastest hunting bow ever, and it rockets out of the gate at a meteoric 370 fps. It has a 32- inch axle-to-axle length and a 5.375-inch brace height. It has either 60- or 70- peak draw weights, 28-30-inch draw lengths, and weighs 4.4 pounds.

This bow is adjustable, too, with let-off ranges from 75–80%. You can thank its hybrid cam and innovative design for the top-end speed. Those who are interested should know these bows are limited edition and will only be available while inventory lasts.

Hoyt Twin Turbo

Hoyt continues to build on its reputation with the new Twin Turbo, and let me tell you, this thing scoots. It zips downrange at a sprightly 350 fps (ATA). This bow also has a 33-inch axle-to-axle measurement and 5.875-inch brace height. The draw length ranges from 25 to 30 inches. Draw weight ranges from 40–70 pounds. It weighs 4.5 pounds.

The new Twin Turbo cam is built for speed, but it’s smooth, too. The bow is also equipped for shock absorption. It comes packed with other features, too, including everything that carbon has to offer. Some of these things include a warmer grip, increased durability, and more.

Hoyt Highline

The new Highline by Hoyt unzips the air and the game you’re chasing at 345 fps (ATA). While that’s 5 fps slower than the Twin Turbo, it’s still plenty fast. It’s 36.5 inches axle to axle and has a 7.875-inch brace height. The draw length ranges from 29–34 inches. Draw weight ranges from 50–70 pounds. The bow weighs 4.9 pounds.

Overall, this bow is made for the big fellow. Larger-framed shooters will enjoy this bow build. It meets and exceeds expectations.

Mathews V3X 29

True to Mathews fashion, the company has released yet another slick bow for 2022. The V3X 29 clocks in at 340 fps (IBO). That’s a little slower than others on the list. But what little it lacks in speed is more than made up for in smooth, quiet, accurate shooting. This model is 29 inches axle to axle, has a six-inch brace height and weighs 4.47 pounds. It has a draw length of 25.5–30 inches. It has draw weight options of 60, 65, 70, and 75 pounds.

Interestingly, this bow allows hunters to mount a dovetail sight through the bow’s riser, which eliminates the need for an external bracket. This helps decrease its footprint and increases stability. Furthermore, the new Stay Afield System (S.A.S.) allows hunters to safely remove or repair strings and cables in the field without using a bow press. All that’s needed is a small, lightweight emergency kit.

Elite Envision

Those who’ve shot Elite know just how smooth these bows are. The new Envision checks in at 334 fps (IBO). It is 31 inches axle to axle and has a 6.875-inch brace height. The bow has a draw length range of 23.5-30.5 inches and a peak draw weight range of 40-75 pounds.

This bow is made for micro-adjustments and even can change the draw length in quarter-inch increments. That’s something other bows don’t have. Other areas of the bow are adjustable, too, including the let-off.

Prime Inline 5

Those who like Prime will love their new Inline 5. It has a 342-fps IBO rating, which is moderately fast considering other bow options in the field. It has a six-inch brace height and weighs 4.5 pounds. This model has a 26-30.5- inch draw length and a very adjustable 30-80-pound peak draw weight.

This model is also 35 inches axle to axle, which is made for bigger shooters. Pair that with the extreme adjustability the rest of the bow has, and it’s a unique combination that few other bow models offer.

BowTech SR350

The new SR350 by Bowtech is another excellent compound. This hunting bow is a blistering 350 fps. It has a draw length range of 25–30 inches and peak draw weights of 50, 60, or 70 pounds. It has an axle-to-axle measurement of 33 inches and a brace-height measurement of six inches. The bow weighs 4.4 pounds.

Even hitting such high speeds, it doesn’t sacrifice much to get it there. Despite the top-end speed, it still shoots incredibly smooth and has minimal vibration.

BowTech Revolt XL

The new Revolt XL also clocks in at 350 fps. It has a draw length range of 27.5-33 inches and peak draw weights of 50, 60, or 70 pounds. It measures 33 inches from axle to axle and has a 6.625-inch brace height and weighs 4.5 pounds. Like other options on the market, this bow is made for larger-framed archers. If that’s you, this is an excellent model to try. Even for a bigger bow, this thing shoots incredibly smoothly.

Bear Refine EKO

Those who shoot bear know these bows are durable and dependable, and the new Refine EKO is fast, too, at 342 fps. This model is 33 inches axle to axle and has a 6.375- inch brace height. Draw length ranges from 26.5-30.5 inches and draw weight ranges include 45–60 or 55–70 pounds. The bow weighs 4.4 pounds.

This model also offers increased let-off adjustability at 75, 80, 85, or 90%. Bear also went to lengths to reduce vibration, and this model reflects that. Overall, it’s a great- shooting hunting bow. And it’s hard to beat the price.

Similarly, the Bear Divergent EKO Compound Bow provides top performance thanks to its EKO Cam technology that allows you to customize let-off to 4 different positions without sacrificing performance.

PSE Xpedite NXT

The PSE Xpedite NXT is a 2021 release, but it’s still one of the company’s fastest bows. It rockets out at 360 fps, which is the second-fastest bow in our report. It also has a 33-inch axle-to-axle measurement and 5.5-inch brace height. Draw length ranges from 24.5–30 inches. Peak draw weights are 60, 70, or 80 pounds.

Overall, this is one of the most comfortable bows in the field. It has a 90% let-off and includes a very good grip. It also sports reduced vibration.

Obsession Nitro HZ

The Obsession Nitro HZ is another 2021 bow that still turns heads. It runs at 353 fps, which is still one of the fastest hunting bows. It has a 31-inch axle-to-axle measurement and a 5.75-inch brace height. The Nitro HZ also comes with a 25.5-29-inch draw length and peak draw weights of 40, 50, 60, 65, or 70 pounds. It weighs 4.4 pounds.

This bow also has a hybrid cam system and an 80% let-off. But the most impressive aspect is the price tag. It’s the most affordable option of the speed hunting bows currently on the market.

Stream Gear of the Year pick for the best mid-priced bow, the Obsession Bows Turmoil RZ Compound Bow Package gives bowhunters smooth shooting speed at a reasonable price.

Martin ADX6

Finally, we have the Martin ADX6. It shoots 348 fps, which is plenty fast. It also has a 32-inch axle-to-axle measurement and a six-inch brace height. Draw length ranges from 26–30.5 inches and peak draw weight ranges are 55–65 and 65–75 pounds. It weighs 4.55 pounds.

This is a great bow that looks and shoots great. It does so at an affordable price. It also comes with the widest availability in Realtree camo patterns.

We hope this list of the fastest hunting bows we could find on the market this year helps you increase your archery fps and enjoy more successful hunts. For more articles on bow hunting products click here.
